ALGWA SA Members were surveyed in February 2024 for an ALGWA SA submission sent in for SA State Government - Local Government Participation and Elections Review.
South Australia has continued a steady increase in the number of female councillors. ALGWA SA branch continues to provide free resources and assistance for women considering candidacy in local government elections, particularly women in the community who may be under-represented in local government and/or socially and /or economically disadvantaged.
