The Australian Local Government Women's Association South Australian Branch Inc is a state branch of the national association- ALGWA- representing interests of women elected to and working in Local Government.
We are a not-for-profit and non-political voluntary association.
We welcome women and men who support our aims:
assist in furthering women's knowledge of and participation in Local Government.
encourage and support women to become actively involved in the key decision-making processes of Local Government.
support women candidates for Local Government elections
provide opportunities for networking, learning together and mentoring
Membership is open to all people and organisations interested in supporting and encouraging women's participation in Local Government.
This includes current and former Councillors, Mayors, intending candidates for Local Government elections and Council staff.
