ALGWA Annual Breakfast being held in Canberra on Wednesday, 25 June 2025 from 6.45am in conjunction with the ALGA National General Assembly. Imposter Syndrome is holding so many women back from reaching their full potential. At our June 12 masterclass, we have Fabian Dattner, a leadership expert specialising in local government, presenting on Overcoming Imposter Syndrome. Fabian will share six essential steps to break free from Imposter Syndrome and to step into your full potential. She will outline practical strategies for anywhere and anytime to quiet your inner critic and help your local government career thrive. ALGWA SA members joined with the International Women's Day Committee SA International Women's Day event- The Real Deal Afternoon Tea event in Adelaide Town Hall on Wed 5 March 2025 1:30pm - 4:30pm. Activities are afternoon tea, a panel discussion on the theme "What's Next for Women - Marching Forward", music by Seymour Strings (this year all pieces by women composers), awards for community service, raffles.

International Women's Day event - supported by ALGWA SA on Tuesday 8 March 2022 at Strathalbyn was organised byCr Bronwyn Lewis (Alexandrina Council) and Cr Narelle Hardingham (Mount Barker Council). 96 people attended.
Our 2022 events focused on our free 2022 Women Candidates Regional Council Election Information Sessions with our 500 information booklets "Women Leading Locally-It's Time" distributed at Campbelltown, Strathalbyan, Noarlunga , Woodville, Mannum, Salisbury Council and Mount Barker as well as the 'x factor-Women in Local Government' workshop for the Barossa Valley.
