ALGWA SA provides events including networking, celebration, support and learning opportunities for members and others interested in supporting women in local government.
Our events enable attendees to widen their networks, celebrate with us, support each other and share experiences.

2025 events
Please join other ALGWA SA members at the International Women's Day Committee SA International Women's Day event- The Real Deal Afternoon Tea event in Adelaide Town Hall on Wed 5 March 2025 1:30pm - 4:30pm.
Activities are afternoon tea, a panel discussion on the theme "What's Next for Women - Marching Forward", music by Seymour Strings (this year all pieces by women composers), awards for community service, raffles.

Award nominations closing date: 15 February 2025 Winners and their nominators will be notified by email from the IWD Committee before 28 February 2025.
ALGWA national FREE interactive Online Member Masterclasses 2025.

Previous 2022 events
- International Women's Day event - supported by ALGWA SA on Tuesday 8 March 2022 at Strathalbyn was organised by Cr Bronwyn Lewis (Alexandrina Council) and Cr Narelle Hardingham (Mount Barker Council). 96 people attended.
- Our 2022 events focused on our free 2022 Women Candidates Regional Council Election Information Sessions with our 500 information booklets "Women Leading Locally-It's Time" distributed at Campbelltown, Strathalbyan, Noarlunga , Woodville, Mannum, Salisbury Council and Mount Barker as well as the 'x factor-Women in Local Government' workshop for the Barossa Valley.
